Azerbaijan Grand Prix weather guide

How to plan for late-September sun, exposed waterfront conditions and Baku's well-known wind without treating climate as a forecast.

01

Broad expectation

Late September can remain warm in Baku, but the waterfront is exposed and the city is known for changeable wind. Historical climate is useful for initial packing, not for a session-level forecast.

02

When to update the plan

Use Azerbaijan's official meteorological forecast during race week and review it again each morning. Wind, temperature and rain affect both comfort and the on-track programme.

03

Sun and wind preparation

Choose secure sun protection and layers that will not flap into other spectators. Check the current entry terms before packing umbrellas, liquids or containers; large umbrellas and liquids over the stated limit are prohibited.
