How drivers adjust the split of braking demand between the front and rear axles.

Why the split changes

Heavy deceleration transfers load toward the front tyres, but the ideal distribution varies with speed, corner shape and how much grip each axle can produce.

The driver's adjustment

Steering-wheel controls let the driver move the balance or use mapped migration through a braking event, within the limits of the technical rules.

The 2026 hybrid link

Rear-axle energy recovery contributes braking torque. Brake-by-wire coordinates that recovery with the hydraulic brakes so the requested balance remains usable.
