The essential venue, entry, transport and weather decisions for a first Formula 1 trip to Sepang.
Book Malaysia, not Bahrain
Despite the race name and route slug, the 2026 event is at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Flights, hotels, immigration checks and local transport must all be planned for Malaysia.
Check entry requirements by nationality
Visa rules depend on passport and nationality. Use Malaysia Immigration's country list, and complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card only through the official portal and within its permitted submission window if it applies to you.
Plan the last mile and the climate
Wait for the 2026 shuttle, parking and gate plan; bring tropical heat and rain preparation; and arrive early enough for security and long walks. A cheap ticket is not good value if its transport plan is impossible.
